YCW Nigeria recognize that young people migrate from rural areas to urban centres in search of jobs and social amenities. But these social amenities eludes the teeming population of youth who migrates from the rural communities and this contributed also to the problems facing the urban centres and cities resulting in more criminal acts perpetrated by young people.

We are committed to rural development, building the capacity of the youth, farmers, women and children using the community resources, agriculture and Information and Communication Technology. We are embarking upon projects, actions and initiatives that will improve the standard of living in non-Urban neighbourhoods, countryside, and remote villages.

Rural development aims at finding the ways to improve the rural lives with participation of the rural people themselves so as to meet the required need of the rural area. The outsider may not understand the setting, culture, language and other things prevalent in the local area. As such, general people themselves have to participate in their sustainable rural development.
